Class (and Superclass) Memory Allocation

Hi,
When we alloc-init an istance on the heap, under the hood we are also allocating heap space for all its superclasses?

Yes we are. An instance of an object, contains all variables and methods of it's superclasses, and thus, it has to allocate room for that as well.
