I used to use a standalone application called Docoa Browser that provided a nice front end interface to the Cocoa (which as you know includes Foundation) documentation.  Here's an application you might want to try:

http://numata.designed.jp/en/programming/cocoa-browser-air.html

You need to have the (offline) documentation loaded on your system for this to work

Take a look at the screen shot on the link I provided and you'll get the idea.  It's a different view of the documentation.

Ah yes, I see it now. You can browse and drill drown, where the built-in help is a bit more search-oriented. I will definitely try this out. Thank you again for the link.
