I don't have a page number because I purchased this book from the iBook Store and my electronic copy doesn't have static page numbers.

In the beginning of chapter 7, on figure 7.2 it shows Where: as "Source" and Group: as "Source" and Add To Targets: as "fractions". However, when I follow the step-by-step instructions that lead up to that point my default values are different. They are Where: FractionTest, Group: FractionTest, and Add to targets: FractionTest.

I am guessing that for veteran programmers this mix-up is not an issue but for me, who is a novice programmer, it is creating some confusion. Any clarification would be appreciated.

Thank you.

I think what you see in those text boxes depends upon what file or folder is currently selected in the Navigator window on the left when you select New File and whether you've changed any names.

It sounds like you've changed the name of main.m to FractionTest.m which seems to be implied in Program 7.1. Somewhere in this forum it is mentioned that this is not necessary, maybe a carry over from an earlier edition. I've been leaving the name of main.m as it is. I always select the main.m file when creating the new files and pay no attention to what's in those text boxes.

This results in my new files being in the same folder as main. I've inquired on the forum whether this is standard practice but have heard no reply so don't take this as "the way to do it". (Figure 7.3 shows the new files not in the main folder but other folks seem to put them there.)  One thing I do have to do is enter an #import "Fraction.h" command near the top of main.m. I'm not sure if some other protocol of generating the files causes this to automatically be done for you.
