Stephen:

I'm learning how to create objects and methods.
Great, but that's the easy part.
Clearly software design in Objective-C to solve some problem is going to to be very different than it would be in C.  I 'm sure I'll have enough pain with a new language paradigm without trying to reinvent the wheel on my own.

Could you could suggest some (good) sources of general  information about software design using object oriented languages?  Short bits would be OK, but I'm really looking for something fairly thorough.

I also wanted to know about object-oriented languages in general, so I picked up a copy of The Object-Oriented Thought Process by Matt Weisfeld (another Developers Library book). It was a pretty good introduction to the general idea of OO and why you might want to go that route. He gets off topic a bit at times and the code examples he uses are in C# .NET and VB .NET, rather than Objective-C, making it a little harder to follow (for me). It might be what you're looking for though, since it is definitely not a coding book, but a general information book.

Duh, I can't believe I forgot this in my previous post - you can also get the Apple developer docs, like "Object-Oriented Programming with Objective-C". I haven't gone through them myself, much, but they're direct from the horse' mouth and are supposedly very useful.
