Hello, does anyone know the most common reason for files owner refusing to be connected to text input boxes?.

i am dragging from files owner to text input box.

1. If you're going in that direction, it should be to connect an IBOutlet to the textfield.
2. Make sure you've saved your changes in XCode for Interface Builder to see all your IBOutlet's and IBAction's.
3. If you're making a connection with MainWindow.xib, you'll likely want to drag from the app delegate object (that's where the outlet variable may be defined) and not from the file's owner.
