Hello, i tried to compile this little, simple program but is giving me this error that I do not know how to address. Thank you for your help.

You need put that code inside a main routine.   Did you look at the examples in the book?   Also, Xcode creates a template for you that you should use.  Go back and follow the steps outlined in the book to recreate the first program example.

Also, please post further questions to the appropriate board (e.g., Help!).
