As I've mentioned here before I ended up having a month and a half gap between finishing chapter 9 and starting chapter 10. The problem I'm having now is that I feel lost in what I'm doing in chapter 10 and feel as though even basic concepts are going over my head.

What I'm looking for is suggestions for what to do now, should I continue on with chapter 10 or perhaps go back a few chapters to brush up on what I've already learned? Anyone been in this situation before?

Thanks

I often reread full chapters -- and I almost always come across a concept I missed previously.  It's also an excellent way to reinforce the material.

A month and a half is a long time.  I would suggest at least skimming the previous chapters instead of muddling your way through chapter 10.

Good luck...

Another good way to reinforce previous material is to assist other forum members who are stuck on exercises from earlier chapters.

It will force you to think back to that material while looking through their code in search of errors and a solution.

Thanks for the tips. Guess I'll start back into the book at the beginning and work my way though till I get back to where I was.
